Port forwarding configuration issue

I know it is something I am not doing but I am trying to port forward my NVR so I can see my cameras. I am using a Gold box and forward the NVR to all incoming traffic with the port I need open. I go into my App for the NvR and put the IP of the firewalla and put in the port required to use and it fails every time. When I am connected to my WiFi it works with the internal device Ip and port but it’s just trying to hit it from the outside. Is there an article that I haven’t found yet to help spell it out or does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

  1. Check if you have a public IP first https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055686674-How-to-see-if-you-have-a-public-IP-address-

  2. If you do, and your port forwarding is proper, check your NVR and make sure it is NOT blocking anything beside LAN access

  Looks like I have a double NAT

  With double NAT you can still forward, just make sure you do this with every layer of NAT.
