I have an Android 14 cell phone, where I have installed the firewalla application, but when I connect to my wireless network, it starts blocking all traffic (I have no internet) and when I open firewalla I get the following error "Unable to resolve host "firewalla.encipher.io" No address associated with hostname".

I don't have any rules configured, apart from the default "Default Bundle".

The firewall is configured in Simple Mode.

What would be the solution to my problem?

  ?how is your main network's DNS setup? Is it using opendns with ad block?

  Hello, the network is basic, the DHCP and DNS is controlled by the ISP modem, we do not have OpenDNS or AdBlock active, only the configuration mentioned above.

  What is your DNS configured as? do you have a terminal, can you do a "nslookup firewalla.encipher.io" and see what the result? if it is not coming back anything meaningful, your ISP is blocking firewalla domains

  In my opinion, Firewalla should be using the WAN DNS for any lookup it needs to do, not my LAN DNS.  If I shut down my pi-hole servers, the Firewalla box freaks out.

  If you are using LAN DNS as your pi-hole servers, when your pi-hole servers down, the DNS will fail.  Please set your secondary LAN DNS as your LAN IP, in case your pi-hole server down, firewalla will use LAN DNS. If LAN DNS fails, firewalla will use WAN DNS.
