Unable to reset Homebridge password

Hi all,

I went to login into my homebridge which is running off a Purple, but it wont accept my password. Im 99% sure I've got it right, but decided to reset it anyway. 

I've followed the instructions online, logging into via SSH and then deleting the auth.json file and restarting, but still no success.

Im fairly new at this so it maybe a PICNIC error rather than a problem with homebridge itself.

Any help greatly appreciated.

  You probably need to contact homebridge for this question, since this is a configuration issue.
