TP-Link Deco Mesh for Firewalla Blue

So I just put my firewalla deco in access point mode and I am trying to pair it with the firewalla blue, which came out a few years ago is there another setting on the deco mesh that I should change to be able to pair it with the mesh

  The blue/red need to pair with something in router mode. 

  If your Deco is not in router mode, what is in front of it? Firewalla blue needs to be talking to it instead. Please see https://firewalla.com/install for details

  I put it in access point mode I have the option to put it wifi router mode which it was at for default

  If you put deco in AP mode, what is connecting it to your ISP/modem?

  I actually have it connected to the mesh and the mash is connecting to the ISP showed the firewall will be on the ISP?

  What you need is following

  ISP---> Firewalla ---> Deco main unit ---> other deco units
