Which product if any is best suited to combat evil twin attacks and wouldn't require phone or app to activate or configure?

  Are you talking about wifi? if it is wifi, then don't think a firewall can control anything.

  Other products state they're effective in this area as part of their intrusion detection / prevention feature.  Where might I view the details of the IDS/IDP functions Firewalla offers? [edit grammar}

  If you are talking about WiFi, then NO, that must be handled by your AP. There is no way for firewalls to see WiFi layer.
