The MSP professional plan has a 3-unit limit at a flat fee. If you need to manage more boxes, the business plan is a better one.

I believe the point of the question was not about what plan to use based on scale, but how to transition to a larger plan without having to start over. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Correct. Since this is a newer product I am easing new and smaller companies over to it. I would rather keep the pro plan with less features and be able to add more than 3 devices for cost savings but since that is not an option I will be moving to business, but as of now it doesn't look like an upgrade is an option either.

Sorry, I misread the question. Let me forward this to our team and see if they have a way to migrate.

The main issue is the business plan runs on different servers and is highly redundant; moving things over may require some work. It can be done if enough people ask for this type of move.

Also, @michael, we are creating a lighter MSP plan (and cheaper) that doesn't sync flows, and we will likely add a lot more configuration-related functions to all plans. Is this something you are after? (the majority cost for professional and business plans that can index flows is really the 'flow' cost)

Yes I would be interested... Would I be able to upgrade to it from the current PRO and keep my connections or would I still need to drive into each location to rescan? Appreciate the response.

@Michael you don't need to go to the location to add a box to MSP. Just make sure the box is paired to the phone you have.

Yes but if its not paired, which could be for a number of reasons then what?

You have no access to a paired phone? This is not an MSP issue. For security, you need to have access to the unit then.

By chance have you had any talks yet about the "lighter MSP plan" option? I have a few more Firewalls I want to add to my MSP but capped at the 3 max limit atm.

Once we have the info, we will broadcast it. Our developer is looking at its implementation, and it is very likely it is coming, and the price is likely cheaper or close to a Starbucks double expresso (per month)

The "lighter" or "cheaper" MSP will be coming in a month or two. We are still working out the numbers with amazon services, so we can further reduce the price.

    • The plan will likely have 7-day historical flow storage.
    • Instead of dedicated containers, they will likely run on bare metal (no dedicated login domain)

We are trying to push out early access in late Feb or March.

I will broadcast out the details before that.
