[Australia] Can I connect Firewalla Gold SE directly to NBN / NCD / FTTP box
Hi Community
I am very new to Firewalla .
I am in Australia and we have NBN / NCD boxes .
These are usually connected via LAN outputs (on NCD box) to WAN Input on Router (supplied by ISP or buy and configure your own)
I was wondering that can I use Firewalla Gold SE :
NBN / NCD Box --> Firewalla Gold SE --> Eero Pro 6 (bridge mode / physically connected / daisy chained)
Removing the need for ISP supplied router
PS: This is how NBN FTTP connection works here https://www.nbnco.com.au/content/dam/nbnco2/documents/preparing-guide/Preparing_Guide_FTTP.pdf.coredownload.pdf
Thanks Everyone

Hi (also from Australia)
Should work perfectly! ive had all sorts of routers connected to the NBNco NTD's with 0 issues
Firewalla will be perfect, I'm currently using Firewalla Purple with a private fiber company (Opticomm) they have a similar NTD box to NBNco in my building but it only has 1 Ethernet port
as for the Bridge to Eero Pro 6 im not sure, so maybe someone else can chime in there
I have a standard Netgear switch plugged into the Firewalla LAN port and then I have a Unifi WIFI access point plugged into the switch, works like a charm!

Hi, I’m also located in Aus with a similar question.
I have nbn 1000mbps from the nbnco box straight to my netgear ax12 modem/wifi/router.
Would the firewalls gold se in transparent mode be only way for it to work? Between the nbnco box and my netgear device?
Or would be required to be configured in another way? -
Sup Dave, im no expert but it should be NBN NTD > Firewalla Gold > Netgear AX12
Firewalla Gold in Router mode, and on the AX12 turn off all router functions and use it as a Switch+Wifi AP
the connection between Firewalla Gold and AX12 will be one of the LAN ports on each
Only the Firewalla Gold uses WAN to the NBN NTD
hope this helps
