I am not clear how pihole may help my gold?

additionally, if I install it. When I open a port do I need to open in pihole and on my gold?

  If you are not sure the benefit of pi-hole, you should just stick with firewalla services. I used to run pi-hole via docker on the Firewalla and now moved to firewalla adblock and family native, I am happy with it, and no need to maintain pi-hole. I don't see much difference either ...

  I like to learn so I am curious about pinhole.
  Looks simple enough but I wasn’t sure how
  It was better then what the gold offers.
  I might give it a shot.
