Are you running fq_codel? or CAKE? are you in adaptive mode? Is your WAN protocol DHCP/PPPoE/VLAN? and how you test the speed of smart queue.

FQ_CODEL.  Adaptive. DHCP.  Testing speed of Network via Fast.com and Speedtest.net across WIFI and a wired connection.  My upload speed dropped to 500 mb vs 1gb on wired connection.

What you mean "My upload speed dropped to 500 mb vs 1gb on wired connection." If your ethernet is getting gigabit and your wifi is 500mb, then your problem is NOT related to firewalla, but your wifi

If it is wired, if you turn off smart queue, do you get gigabit? if you use LAN test, http://fire.walla:8833/ss/ via ethernet, what do you get?

Basically a gig download and 750-870 Mbps upload.  So like I originally stated, the issue appears to be with smart queue.  Turning it on cuts upload speeds dramatically.  There are entire threads on Reddit and a few threads posted in this community so it's not something new.  Please advise.
