Load balancing on Firewalla Gold with two ISPS, one medium speed and reliable, the other very fast OR very slow.
I have two ISPs and 50% load balancing.... one is Spectrum with 500Mbps down /20Mbps up and the second is Verizon 5G Home with 1G - 1.5G down and 100MBps-250MBps up. However, quite often (once every couple of days), the Verizon drops to LTE mode, which is usually around 2-5Mbps down and way less than 1Mbps up, because the LTE signal is weak at my house. So my fast WAN is sometimes UNUSABLY SLOW. My problem is that the Firewall Gold does not see this severely degraded bandwidth as a reason to switch 100% to the slower but more reliable Spectrum, and so I end up with a situation of occasional severely degraded internet (dropped video etc) if the device I am using is routed to the now severely degraded/slow ISP, and I have to manually switch to fail over until I can manually check that the Verizon 5G is back online. My question is, are there any solutions to this scenario, and if not, may I request a future feature where a WAN input can be monitored for a severe bandwidth change so that the other WAN can take over all the duties? Ideally I would love for the Verizon 5G home to handle most of the workload while it is working well, and then switch to Spectrum when it switches to LTE. AFAIK there is no way to disable LTE on the Verizon unit.
