Search Results / WireGaurd VPN
I have a weird issue that makes nosense in some ways but also may make little sense depending on how locaton/DNS is being cached.
I created a WireGaurd VPN profile to VPN back home whilst travelling abroad and this has been working; however it seems that whilst i am connected to the VPN (always), my family members at home get search results for the country i am in!!
So, I was in China, my family at home searching for something via google or any search engine, their search results are being returned with results for China...
Then I travelled to another country & the same issue; my family at home getting search results back from the country where I am in.
It seems; the location or search is either being cached or determined by the VPN connected.
This should not be happening, regardless of the VPN location or where I am, local clients should not be impacted with their search results
my only guess is either; Ad block or DNS over HTTPS or Unbound maybe playing a part here??? just not sure

Sorry maybe i didnt explain the issue correctly.
The VPN is not the issue, nor is my device in China the issue. This works and the client location shows that I am based in UK which is perfect.
But the issue is my devices at home and family members who are not in "China" with me and are using the firewalla as the DG at home in UK; their search results are getting results back for China and not based in UK...
whilst I maybe searching for things to do in China or somewhere else other than my home country; my family who are still in UK should always get results back from their location regardless of where my VPN is being connected from.
