Purple SE showing up as a RED firewalla on installation?

    What is the version of the app you are using? (ios or Android? 1.53 or 1.54?) Do you also have a red running?

    I'm using IOS but found that my app version was on 1.51.  I upgraded to 1.53 and I'm trying the initial setup process again.   The other main issue seems to be the Purple SE not getting a public IP address via DHCP from the Cable Modem (Spectrum).  The red status light is blinking and it's taking a long time to go through the setup process..."checking for updates, etc".   I've plugged my laptop directly into the cable modem ethernet and I get a public IP and internet access with no issues, so I know the service is working properly.  

    And Yes,,,I did also have an old Red box still paired with my App, but I'm not using that any longer.

    Any reason why the SE would have trouble getting an IP from the cable modem?

    Cable modem usually like to remember the previous box. Have you tried power off the cable modem, remove all ethernet cables from it, wait a bit, and then plug in the purple?
