Confirmed: Cisco RV340W with purple: works

Just fyi, I've successfully downgraded my cisco rv340w to an access point by assigning the dhcp address as fixed ip in the bridge configuration. As the Purple seems not to renew dhcp leases I never experienced an outage in 4 weeks now. Still getting acquainted with the purple and its network segmentation but essentially every box in the house was back online within 30min and remained online since.

Setup: ISP > ISP provided modem in bridge mode > Purple > Cisco RV340W > wifi devices.

One LAN port of the cisco is still in use, which I will replace with one of the Gold ports once the Gold arrives. Decided to upgrade to be able to segment out the WiFi devices from the "home trunk" without the hassle of finding out how to do it inside the cisco. The Firewalla UI is way easier to use!

  Is Purple in bridge or router mode?

  Purple is in router mode. The cable modem is in bridge mode.

  In the meantime replaced the purple with gold, still in router mode. Now the rv340w is but a mere access point with its own LAN.
