Best ways to scaling up the LAN behind Firewalla Gold

I need some advice on scaling up my home network. My main router is FW Gold, most of the network is wired behind a 24 port managed switch (plugged into the FWG), plus I also have a wifi mesh router and a shared printer (both also plugged into FWG with a cat6). 

I outgrew my 24 port switch and need some 5 or 10 more ports, but I am not sure how to best do that without spending too much $.

Buying a 48 port managed switch is a little expensive (and do I need it to be managed?), but I can probably afford an unmanaged 48 port switch. 

Or perhaps I can just buy another 8- or 16-port managed switch and daisy-chain it with my first switch - is that possible and would it make sense? I don't have any firewalla wired ports left to plug in this new switch into the router directly.

What do you guys recommend? TIA

  Do you need a switch? Why not a hub?

  The best way is to look at your east/west bandwidth usage. Exactly how much traffic are you moving between the new small switch and the existing one? does your existing switch has a up/down link that's faster? if you do, you can easily attach a smaller switch
