Verizon G3100/3200

Does anyone else have the issue with the Fios G3100 showing the yellow ring when connected behind the FWG?  Everything seems to work but the router doesn't seem to update the firmware,  I don't seem to see any connections from the FWG going out at all to suggest it is reaching out anywhere to test connectivity or anything is being blocked.

Interestingly enough I see the throughput chart showing upload but nothing under the network flows.  Any ideas?
