New setup with verizon Fios
Hello, I am interested in getting a firewalla device but i want to make sure it is the right thing/will work with my set up. I moved to an area served by verizon as the isp. I have Fios service 1gbps and a CR100A router along with a secondary extender unit provided by verizon (e3200). The CR1000 is in the office & connected to an unmanaged switch (4 ports). The switch is connected to a pc, a nas and a streaming amplifier. The CR1000 also provides wifi to the house with the network extender on the first floor. My wifi devices include a ring doorbell, some homekit cameras, an apple tv, his & hers phones & laptops, a number of sonos speakers and a peloton. My questions are 1) can i use a firewalla with the verizon fios service 2) what would the optimum connection be if i wanted to take advantage of the firewalla (gold). Should it be connected to the lan port on the verizon router or vice versa? I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched the forum and the other discussions on verizon fios mentioned a different router. Thanks for your help.

If you use the Gold, you will need some type of WiFi (access point, or a router running as a access point) to connect to the gold. See https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411167832851-Firewalla-Router-Mode-Configuration-Guide-
I am not sure if the existing router can be configured as an access point ... you need to check that. (gold in router mode will take over as your main router)
