Help needed re Slow Transfer Speeds over WireGuard Server

I have enabled the WireGuard Server on my Gold box.  I have successfully connected from a remote MacBook Pro using the WireGuard app version: 1.0.12 (22).  I can vnc, afp, smb, and WebDAV to various devices on my home LAN.  vnc works great, with no apparent speed issues.  afp, smb, and WebDAV, however, are brutally slow.  At best I'm seeing transfer speeds  of maybe 4Mbps up/down.  At home, I have 400Mbps down/25Mbps up.  At the remote location, I have 100Mbps down, 10Mbps up.  Does it make sense that I'm seeing 4Mbps over afp, smb, and WebDAV under these conditions?  TIA.

  Without knowing your application, the slowest link usually dictates the speed of VPN. (since wireguard VPN is very fast on the Gold, CPU is not the issue) So, in your case, it likely 10mbit or 25mbit.  And if the slowest link has traffic on it, it will definitely slow down VPN. So when you are testing, make sure your link is not congested. (10mbit can easily be congested)

  Thank you for your reply.  I'm trying to do a Carbon Copy Cloner backup, which is locally fast enough, though not "speedy".  But over the WireGuard connection to home, it's comically slow, like a few MB/hr.  I agree it's probably the limitation of the 10Mbps uplink.  Oh well...
