VPN Kill Switch - Working?

I've been trying to get the VPN kill switch to work, but so far, no dice

I have VPN client setup with PIA

I have the "Internet Kill Switch" enabled

I have the VPN Client applied to 3 devices

A whatismyip on those devices shows that they are using the VPN.  But, if I disconnect the VPN, those devices continue to have internet access using my regular WAN ip address.  So, something seems missing here, Internet Kill Switch isn't killing anything.

  Kill switch is not for if you turn off the VPN manually, it is if the connection dies or is broken.
  It’s same behavior if using VPN app on the device.

  maybe you can do a rule to block access to the internet for the devices, and see if they can browse with the VPN enabled.
