Friewalla blue in dhcp mode with amplifi instant

Hello, I am trying to set up my firewalla blue in DHCP mode with my amplifi instant mesh network. It doesn't have the capability to turn off the DHCP server so I tried the hack of lowering the ip range to just the firewalla device (and my phone so I can access the router). But I had a problem. The amplifi mesh access point actually connects to the network like a device, and apparently, it doesn't work if it isn't connected to the amplifi router. I can't just give the AP a static IP because it doesn't show up in the devices list. I was thinking about using bridge mode, but I think I would need an amplifi gold for that. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

  Have you tried this: limit 2 IP addresses (assume you have two satellites), then boot up the mesh units, I assume they will take the 2 IP's and will not issue any more IP's.
