tp-link OneMesh and FWG
I currently have a Blue that's plugged into a tp-link AX20 router that joined with several OneMesh devices, and it'll all working pretty well however I'm looking into upgrading to a Gold. I want to keep the AX20 and OneMesh setup and I had assumed that I would be able to simply switch the AX20 to AP mode and plug it into a Gold, however I've just discovered that switching to AP mode will disable the OneMesh feature. Why that is so is a mystery to me.
Is there any way of keeping the router in router mode (router and AP are the only available modes) and plugging it into a Gold so that the router uses the Gold as the network gateway and the Gold regards the router as an AP? Maybe plug the router to the Gold using its WAN port rather than a DSL modem (like I have now)
Thanks :)

You should get a different mesh, there is plenty that is properly built and can do AP/bridge mode in a mesh.
One thing that may work is to follow this trick here https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048869274-Firewalla-Gold-Tutorial-Google-Wifi-or-Nest-Wifi-Mesh-network-with-Gold-Beta-
Pretend your AX20 like Google Nest/Wifi. The probability is high that this will work.
