Some thoughts related to Wireguard

So with WireGuard about to come out of beta and me playing around with Nginx Proxy Manager I'm wondering if by using WireGuard on Firewalla I can achieve something similar what's described in this article, without having to use a VPS and not exposing my home IP?

Kind of like this:

Internet -> Route53 -> Firewalla -> Wireguard -> Nginx Proxy Manager -> some service in my house

  Wireguard on the Gold is already in production. (today)

  You can use the VPN Server Wireguard mode to connect back home

  Great - I fired it up quick and it seems to work.

  However, that's not really the question I was asking.  I'm thinking about exposing web services via a reverse proxy without exposing my home IP.  Does the FW WireGuard method expose my public IP?

  I guess for exposing web services from home without initially connecting the FW Wireguard would have to be something like what is described in the article.

  Also, VPN Activity alarm does not appear to trigger on WireGuard connections.

  VPN connection alarms will be in the 1.973 release.
