tp-link AX20 cannot see OneMesh node

I have a simple Blue running in DHCP mode, a new tp-link AX20 and a single tp-link RE505X repeater. Both tp-link devices are OneMesh compatible and if the Blue is not powered up then the RE505X can connect to the AX20 and the AX20 shows the device as a connected OneMesh device. The problem is that when the Blue is powered up the AX20 cannot find the RE505X as an available OneMesh device, which  I'm assuming is because the RE505X is associated with the Blue's overlay network. Anyone know if there's a solution to this?

  Tap on devices->find the repeater and turn monitoring off that unit.  Then reboot the repeater. This will move the repeater out of the overlay network.
