Seeing or getting a warning when an outside ip is trying to access your network

I had to move from Cujo to Firewalla Gold. My Cujo would warn me when an external ip was trying to breach the FireWire and get into my network. Since using Firewalla for the past couple of weeks I have not seen any blocking of external systems trying to get into my network. The alarms are only for internal issues going outbound. Do I need to see what is being blocked inbound?

  The blocking stats will show up here, in this release https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500003521641

  But for the serious ones, they also will result in alarms.  But that you will have to have the port open on your WAN side.

  I would get alerts about attempts to exploit my Fios router when I put it in the DMZ. Ended up taking it out of the DMZ as it really served no purpose, besides allowing me to remotely watch DVR content.
