Xfinity XB7 + Limited DHCP = No Monitoring?
Hello,
Several weeks ago my Xfinity modem was upgraded to the XB7. Since then my Blue+ has not worked. I checked the compatibility list and it says the Xfinity XB7 is compatible on Limited DHCP mode but it doesn't seem to work for me. After following the directions in the article, my app says that till the IPv6 services are disabled the WAN cannot be monitored.
I will note that the article explicitly says that there is a fix in the works for the IPv6 not being disabled but this would mean that the XB7 is no longer supported.
Two Questions:
1) Any idea on delivery of this fix for the IPv6 not being able to be disabled?
2) Is the Firewalla not actually monitoring? or is is only monitoring IPv4? I am ok for the moment to get some level of monitoring. I left mine on in limited DHCP but didn't see anything being captured so that is the reason for this question.
Thanks for the assistance on this.

The XB6 and XB7 works in DHCP mode, and since they can't really turn off DHCP services, you will need to limit the number of IP addresses on the XB6/XB7, hence the LIMITED-DHCP mode. (it is a configuration on the XB6/XB7)
As of ipv6; DHCP mode doesn't work if ipv6 is enabled on your router, so you will have to disable ipv6 on the router side.

I am sorry but you apparently did not read my post completely.
I cannot disable IPv6 DHCP hence the question about when a fix for this is expected.
Based off your response, I am assuming there is no monitoring at all if IPv4 is DHCP from Firewalla but IPv6 is DHCP from the router. Is this this accurate? If so then my Firewalla is useless with the Xfinity XB7 router.
