Is there a way to determine the modem IP address in front of Firewalla?

I am using the gold in router mode. I want to determine the IP address of the cable modem upstream (In front of the Firewalla Gold):

 

ISP Connection --> Modem --> Firewalla Gold --> My network

I know my public IP for the Firewalla, but that isn't the device IP for the modem. Not sure how best to get that Ip, whether it is caught in traceroute or ignored.

  Typically the cable modem speaks to the cable headends using DOCSIS, so it doesn't have an IP address, other than the one that's assigned by the headend, which is passed to you.

  And ... if you traceroute,  very likely the first hop is the router connecting to (or is) the cable headend.  (unless there are tunnels ...)
