Replacement for Koalasafe

Now that the Koalasafe has been officially shutdown 😢, what model of Firewalla do you recommend as a good alternative? I already have access points where the kids' traffic has been redirected since I removed the Koalasafe from the network.

  It depends on the speed of your network;   

  1. Pick Red if you less than 100mbit.

  2. Blue / Blue+ if you have less than 500mbit

  3. Gold if you have gigabit.

  And if you want advanced features beyond parental control.  If you are into technology and want to optimize your network, the Gold is a really good unit that does some advanced router features and smart queues ...

  My Cujo also end of life, got the Blue+, arriving in 2 more days.  We will see if it is better or not ...

  Installed in 5 min. I used the DHCP mode,which I think is like Cujo's default mode. The blue plus is very small, my initial test is it's much faster than Cujo, I can easily get 400MB (my isp speed).  Cujo was around 200MB. loaded some xxx sites, and it worked wonderfully. VPN took another 60 seconds to activate. So far it is just a perfect replacement.

  Thanks for sharing you experience. Setup seems to be quite simple. I'm glad to see it works well and that it's even faster than the Cujo.
