Firewalla Gold: large network transfers cause firewalla to slow down and lag?

Hard to say, the slow down can be pretty much anywhere in the system.  When you are in router mode, turning to monitor off/on really doesn't reduce CPU usage that much.

For example, we have seen user's networks congested, and DNS was much slower than before.  That causes delays on the first website load.   To fix that, best to just turn on Smart Queue.  And if you have network that may be congested, put a rate limit that's 90% of the max IPS rate, that may help with responsiveness

Are you using more than one Lan port? IE do you have two local switches? If so you can try testing lan to lan speed while you are seeing this issue and if that is working fine the issue is likely the ISP uplink not the firewalla.

Firewalls support can you provide a link on how to configure Smart Queue to limit to 90%?

Would I apply that limit to my entire LAN?
