    Typically, I've seen DDNS updating options available within your account settings page of your VPN provider (or other online service).  For network settings targeting the WAN, you'd put the hostname listed in Firewalla's DDNS settings page. 

    Another option that could be provided by your service provider is a custom URL that would be visited to trigger the update to the WAN IP.  This could also be scripted out to visit the link in the event your IP changes.  Look at: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054056754-Customized-Scripting-

    Create a shell script to use curl to call that custom URL:

    #!/bin/bash
    curl "<ddns_link_for_updating>"
