1Gbps per port limit - can you hook 2 ports to a switch?

Is there such a thing as being able to connect two ports on the firewalla to 2 ports on a single managed switch, thereby taking advantage of two of the 1gbps ports on the router?

  Each port on the Gold can be a trunk port.  So you can connect them both to the same managed switch, but make sure you do not cause a switch loop.

  No need to configure anything, all you need is to create VLANs when you adding local network segments.

  @Derek,

    This would normally be done with something like "Link Aggregation Control Protocol" or LACP.

    Firewalla Gold does not currently support this functionality, although we keep asking for it.

  This is why I was asking if any config is needed at Firewalla gold as LACP usually requires some sort of configuration for it to work, I haven't connected x2 Firewalla gold ports to one of my switches as it from reading above it sounds like this is just standard trunk configuration for VLAN's rather than LACP as you say.

   

  I find it strange Firewalla gold does not support LACP (802.3AD) as most modern networking equipment does.

  Please ignore me, the comments were actually posted on another thread by Chris above, for some reason as they were posted by Chris I assumed it was this thread but checking my mail shows its in another thread so nothing is missing, it was my mistake!
