WAN Port No Longer Responding to Ping
Hey,
Anyone else seen their Firewalla Gold no longer responding to pings on the WAN port? Looks like mine started to not respond around 4:15a on 11/27 and I didn't make any changes to the rules. Looks like some packages may have been installed (2020-11-27 04:13:27 startup archives install) in dpkg.log so possibly related to an update.
In any case, I'm not in a position to reboot and probably won't be for a few days, so was just curious whether others were seeing similar. Thanks!

Thanks James! I get the updates via email, but didn't see anything about ping blocking by default (but easily could have missed it). Not sure if it will be useful for anyone else, but will dig into it and see how they can be blocked (at least temporarily) as I want as few uncontrolled changes being made in my environment as possible. :) Thanks again!

This is our fault. Often engineers will pick up things from your feedback and just do them. And at times, small things like this is hard to track ... and this will fall through the cracks, and our release person doesn't get the change request.
We will do better next time. Nasty email is written to our team so they are aware of the importance of documenting changes.
