Restarting FW Gold causes all Unifi devices in controller to appear offline

Hello everyone. I am hoping someone might have an idea as to what is going on here. There are no visible blocked flows occurring here. 

I have all my Unifi devices on a separate network and there is a firewall rule that blocks all traffic to and from the local networks for the Unifi management network. My Unifi controller is on a cloud key on another network, I have a rule to allow all traffic to and from my Unifi controller. This seems to work until I restart my FW gold. All devices then show as disconnected in the controller. If I SSH into them from the controller I can manually readopt each device. They stay connected until the next time I reboot the FW gold. I have pretty much the same setup on my PFSense firewall and this does not happen. The only advanced features I have enabled is Active protect and Ad Block.
