The offline detection does have a longer latency than online detection. Are you just curious on what this device is? if you are, try to block it and see what may break ...

I did have internet block on previously and was getting the notificatins (that's why I wasn't overly concerned).  After initial post I turned monitoring off, but am still getting notices of device going offline.  Very weird.

Guess will just have to turn status check off, but would like to know why it is showing up on my network.

"Monitoring off/on" is for network traffic. The device online / offline are probs, so you just have to turn off those alerts, then it will turn off the probs.

I finally just muted alerts.  Never did figure out cause.

Now I have another device showing.  This time with IP address.  It's a Zima SBC.

Have tried rebooting both Firewalla and Zima.  Still getting alerts that item has "left network" about every hour.  As an aside I am monitoring the Zima  with uptime kuma.  It pings it every 10 minutes and hasn't yet shown any downtime.

    Suggestions?

Firewalla does ping a lot more frequently than 10min intervals, so likely your SBC just sleeping or busy doing other things, and not replying messages, and then firewalla will classify it as offline
