Static route - how to access ont on wan

I need your help. I have a ONT providing wan connection on port 4 of fwg. Ont has 192.168.1.1 as address. No lan segment conflicts, main lan is on 192.168.58.x I'd like to access the ont from lan device. Currently, cannot even ping it. Any advice? Should be something about adding static route, but i didn't figured it out on my own

  I have a similar setup and this worked for me: 

  Go to Routes > Add Route:

  • Matching: LAN IP of modem
  • On: device, group you want to have access.
  • Interface: [WAN Name]

  Thanks Michael, did it but with no luck. Maybe i have to disconnect the fiber cable from ont, i know that sometimes this is required, will try and let you know

  @Radgast82 Yes, you can certainly connect directly to it and that will work. Did you use the LAN IP above or the WAN IP?

  i can ping wan ip but cannot enter into login page

  ont lan ip doesn't even respond to ping

  @Radagast82 So the LAN IP is all that should matter. You can login if connected directly? And then if you use the same LAN IP above and connect normally you can't?
