Wi-Fi Access Points that support a segmented guest network?
Hi all, I've been scratching my head on how to get an AP which breaks out the guest network into it's own traffic and evidently this is a tall order!?
I was using an Apple Airport Extreme for the longest time and as a router my guests never touched my network and as an AP the same held true. I simply moved it into AP mode behind the Firewalla, defined a VLAN (1003) for guest and with just one cable attached to the Firewalla, I had two networks. With the new Netgear RAXE290/300 this functionality breaks in AP mode. The guest network gets the same permissions as my internal and has access to absolutely everything! I have my devices grouped and have defined IoT, Guest, etc. (same guest network) as having no access to the main network, but if I go on the guest network and even move my laptop to that group, the internal network is wide open.
Is anyone using a Wi-Fi6 AP with the guest network segregated with any success? If so what brand/model or what Firewalla config?
Thanks!
