Anything that supports 802.1Q should work.

Depending on requirements and what you are comfortable with, my favorites are:

    1. Unifi (more feature rich, but more complex)
    2. Orbi pro (less powerful in terms of features, but easier to set up).

    1. With Unifi you can run the controller on FWG. I'm a little more cautious about that on FWP just because it seems to maybe push my comfort zone on resources. I decided to move my unifi controller to my nas instead because I saw no particular benefit to running it on FWG but I have an installer that makes it easy to get up and running on FW. github.com/mbierman/unifi-installer-for-Firewalla
    2. Orbi Pro is fine in bridge mode.

I think they are like UniFi. You can run them without a controller depending on what features you need but you need it for configuration and there are excellent analytics you get with running the controller all the time.

    I don’t believe they require a controller.

    Thanks!

    1. Are thinking of APs and Docker controller on FWG?
    2. Isn’t VLAN support disabled in Bridge mode for the Orbis?

Ah nice, didn’t notice the Orbi Pros.
Looks like that’s what I need.

    Thank you very very much’

Aruba and Meraki Go APs fit the bill, as well.

Do they need an external controller?

Alright, I think Orbi Pro will be sufficient in my small network.

    Thanks for your help!
