Devices joined to the guest network with monitoring turned on have no internet access

I have a Netgear R7000 router with both the standard WiFi and guest WiFi networks created. I have enabled ad-blocking, but in order for the devices connected to the WiFi guest network to get internet access, I have to turn monitoring off.

  Don, 

  Each manufacture implement guest network differently.  They are essentially a network within a network.  Is the guest network devices showing up on firewalla? if they are, you can just tap on them and turn monitor off.

  The devices on the guest network are showing up on Firewalla. For now, the only option that works for users/devices on my guest network is to not monitor their internet usage. Thank you for the prompt response.

  I'm seeing this issue on Netgear R7500 as well.

  So far, the only way I have been able to get the devices on the guest network internet access is to turn Monitoring off.

  Agreed, I can get them to work this way if there are on the primary router.  Off a 2nd WAP with the same guest network credentials, the devices can't get access even if Monitoring is turned off.
