I have put all the 3rd party servers from my Nord VPN account but when I activated it on my home I see that still my devices are using the same IP as without.

The devices connected to the FWG will not get a new IP address themselves. However, their traffic should exit through the VPN.

When you say they are using the same IP, do you mean the same internal IP address, or do you mean that sites like https://whatismyipaddress.com/ show that your public IP address hasn't changed? Your internal IP addresses should stay the same, but your public IP address should change.

So I live in France, but when from my iPhone I tap on VPN Client and I activate for example my 3rd party vpn server in Hong-Kong, and then I go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ from safari with my iPhone, I still see that I am in France. If I do the same from my Nord VPN application I can see that my location is in Hong Kong. May I need to do something else from the firewalla app to activate VPN to all my devices in my wifi? Is it because my FWG is in DHCP mode and not in router mode?

    Firewalla

Is your first exmaple, you are using the firewalla VPN client on your phone? if you are, is your phone on the DHCP mode's overlay network? It is required to be on that network and in monitoring mode to use VPN client.

Yes I was using firewalla VPN client on my iPhone and yes, it is connected to to my wifi (which is in DHCP overlay network). I don't know if it's a problem due to the DHCP configuration or else

    Firewalla

Check your iPhone default gateway and IP, make sure it is the one in the overlay network.

Ok so I see that the Router IP address on which my iPhone is connected is the one of the FWG. Is it good or should it be the real router?

    Firewalla

If your phone's gateway is the FWG, best send help@firewalla.com and ask our support to look at it.

May I know why you are running in DHCP mode? not router mode? FWG is awsome when you run it in router mode.

You are right, I just ordered an AP so I can have the firewalla in Router mode. I will see later then I guess
