Configuring PLEX remote access: why isn't this working?
This should be simple yet somehow it's not: I've gone into the Network settings and I've created a new entry: TCP, port 32400, my Synology NAS (selected by device name, not IP), port 32400, and Ingress Firewall is set to allow Any Sources.
This should work, but it doesn't. I then tried pointing the rule at the IP of the Synology NAS, the same IP shown in the PLEX settings, and it won't work. Or it does work for a bit - PLEX does the test and says it's "Fully accessible outside your network", but within a minute or two it will go back to saying it's not available.
My Synology NAS has two Ethernet ports, both are connected and live, but setting the rule to go to either one had the same result.
What am I missing? I know it's going to be something obvious...but I can't figure out what it is!🤷♂️

And, yes, it was the Xfinity router/modem causing the issue. No wonder I couldn't figure it out just by looking at the Firewalla settings! Turns out I never put the Xfinity router in full bridge mode, so it was doing it's own firewall port blocking. All seems to be well now, thanks!
