Firewalla Blue and Google Mesh Wifi Odd behavior

I have a Firewalla Blue and Google mesh wifi. In the Google home app its IP is not correct and will randomly change and also says it’s a different device altogether.

This makes it impossible to setup forwarding etc for the vpn server function. Any thoughts on how to get around this?

  Try to turn off monitoring under the "monitoring" or "mode" button, then do port forwarding. This is likely just how arp spoofing works

  That works. However, when you turn monitoring back on it reverts to the way it was previously. Looks like it might be time to replace the Google Mesh with one that has more more control over forwarding. I've never seen a device that doesn't simply have the ability to forward port X to IP Y. Instead Google wants you to select a device from a list of connected devices.
