Are you running in Router mode or simple mode?

The best setup for the purple is the router mode and you can see https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411167832851-Firewalla-Router-Mode-Configuration-Guide-

Yes, FWP is in router mode and is the only router.  Everything else is in bridge mode.

    Messy, but resolved:

    • Once the Frontier Rounter (FR) is put into bridge mode, it is impossible to access it again remotely via wireless.  You may be able to access it via Ethernet into a Lan port, but I didn’t have a computer to try that.
    • The FR router supposedly has a firmware fix for this but Frontier has not pushed it out.
    • Workaround is to simply reset the router when you need access to it.
    • Bridge mode works fine on the router BUT, you may experience what I did - the ONT was not passing an IP to the FR for it to pass to the Firewalla (FW).  Don’t know that the issue is there, but i found that only plugging and unplugging the cable to the router would “reset” the IP.
    • I was able to confirm that the FR had an IP by logged into the routers admin wifi to confirm internet access at the router. In addition to putting it into bridge mode, i also turned off the SSID broadcast for that admin wifi to prevent a hole there.

    Thanks,

    mike
