On Firewalla App Release 1.43, we've introduced a feature to help you change/clone the MAC address of Ethernet Ports on Firewalla Gold.
There is a limitation on Firewalla Box version 1.971, which doesn't allow you to change the MAC address on Ethernet Port 4.
If the Firewalla box is failed to set up because your ISP has locked internet connection to certain registered MAC addresses. Please follow the steps below for a workaround:
Step 0: Stay close to Firewalla Gold, and make sure the Red security dongle is connected to the USB port on the Gold.
Step 1: Connect the Gold's Ethernet Port 4 to your previous router's LAN port, follow the regular steps to set up Gold. When asked "User Gold as Router?", select "Yes, set up as a router".
Step 2: After setting up successfully, change the ethernet Port used for WAN connect to another Port ( here, we use Port 3 as an example )
- Go to Firewalla App -> Network, tap Edit on the top right corner.
- Tap the WAN connection (ISP 1 is the default name), scroll down to the bottom, tap Delete This Network.
- Tap Create Network -> WAN connection, choose the connection type required by your ISP, fill in the required information, select Ethernet Port 3 for the connection.
- Scroll down, set the MAC Address to a pre-registered MAC Address required by your ISP. (It is likely to be the MAC address of your previous router. )
- Tap Done -> Save.
Step 3: Disconnect Firewalla Box from the previous router, wait for at least 10 seconds, then connect Firewalla's Port 3 to the ISP modem's LAN port.
Step 4: Firewalla Gold should be connected to the Internet within 30 seconds.

I get the message "MAC Address of Ethernet Port 4 can not be changed" with my Firewalla Purple. It appears this issue is not just with the Gold.
This worked perfectly to remove a Calix fiber router from the ISP that was double-natting the network and could not be put in a bridge mode.
I just changed the port to the MTA mac and the fiber modem linked right up and gave a public IP.
Now the Calix router spy-box / report all URLs to the ISP / piece of junk is happily unplugged.
