This tutorial is an example of how to create an Alarm Mute Setting. If you want to learn more about Alarms, please consult this article.
1. Create Mute Settings from Alarms
If you no longer want to receive any video activity alarms when your kids are watching YouTube on their Macbook air.
On the Firewalla App, locate the video alarm from the Alarms list, tap the Mute button. From the pop-up dialogue, tap the option "Mute domain googlevideo.com, apply to Macbook air". A mute setting will be created.
On the Firewalla Web Interface, you will be given more options. The Mute Similar Alarm button allows you to mute any type of alarms on a specific device or all devices: Learn more about Firewalla Web Interface here.
2. Create Mute Settings Manually
If you want to mute Abnormal Upload Alarms when your iMac is accessing subnet 188.8.131.52/24.
Step 1: On Firewalla App or Web Interface, tap on the Alarm Setting icon in the top right corner of the Alarms page, you'll find a list of alarm types. Tap on Abnormal Upload.
Step 2: Tap on "Mute". (If the general setting is set to Mute All, it means no alarm will be generated, so there will not be a choice to mute a specific device/destination.)
Step 3: Tap on Add Destination. Enter"184.108.40.206/24". (Destination can also be a certain IP Address / Domain.)
Step 4: Tap Next, apply to Annie's iMac. (If you don't want to specify a device, tap on "All Devices.")
You can also tap Add Device If you'd like to mute all abnormal upload alarms on a certain device.
The settings will be created under the Mute list.
Currently, settings cannot be modified. If you want to modify it, delete it first and then recreate it.
